The Warband Management screen is where you handle various account settings, such as your password, and certain in-game settings like your tax rate or the message that appears in your profile.
Taxes determine how much cash you collect form your workers per turn. The higher your taxes, the more cash is collected. However, higher taxes will cause you to have a lower maximum health and will cause some workers to leave. Taxes can be set anywhere from 0% to 50%, with values over 10% causing a 1% drop in maximum health for every additional 2% in taxes.
Equations Related to Taxes
Income = TaxRate * Workers * PerCapitaIncome
Immigration is multiplied by
(4 / ((TaxRate + 15) / 20)) - (7 / 9)
Emigration is multiplied by
1 / ((4 / ((TaxRate + 15) / 20)) - (7 / 9))
Change Race allows you to --unsurprisingly-- change race. For example you could switch from Egyptian to Phoenician, or from Macedon to Etruscan, etc. However, this ability does not come cheap, so it is rarely done.
Requirements for Changing Race
- 3 or more spies per acre of land
- 150 turns
- 75% health or greater
Costs of Changing Race
- 10%-15% loss of all units (military, civilian, intelligence)
- 16%-54% loss of all buildings, weighted toward the middle
- 15%-45% initial loss of food, scrolls, and cash; this value increases for larger empires, and decreases for smaller empires
- 150 turns are lost (not taken)
- 50% health drop
Your industrial settings determine how many of each troop type your barracks produce. Each troop type has its own multiplier, determining how many are produced given a certain industrial setting with a certain number of barracks. The lower the value of the troop type, the more of them will be produced, and the fewer offense and defense points they will wield, and vice versa.
Equation for Number of Troops Produced
Troops Produced = Barracks * Industry Setting * Troop Price / Infantry Price
This option allows you to set a new password to your account.
For security reasons, your actual password is never stored. After changing your password (and when you first set it), one way encryption is used and the encrypted value is stored in our database.
Whenever you enter your password, it is encrypted and then checked against the encrypted code in our database.
This way, you can rest assured that nobody here ever sees your password.
Even if the server security were compromised (hacked), your password could not fall into the wrong hands.
Allows you to change your e-mail address (which is always kept private), as well as post AIM and MSN screen names, as well as a message of your choosing that others can view on your profile page.
This option changes the overall look of the game. There are many themes available to choose from, use whatever suits your preference.
Locks your account to prevent it from being attacked or disabled as a result of idleness in event of a planned absence. See vacation for details.
Save any useful text here. For example, you can use it to store espionages, if you don't choose to post them in your clan forum. Simply click the save button at the bottom of the page to save the contents of the textbox to the database.
