Take into account that mages need runes to work with and you'll realize that indy comes out with more troops and food while mage comes out with more cash. It's not that you can't completely solo one strat or the other, but it's less efficient, and in a more competitive game, it just wouldn't cut it.

Lowering land grabs will also stagnate the game to an extent though. Once people realize the most they can lose in 21 attacks is like 50%, they'll just leave themselves defenseless again. Except now they can come back to half their land, and only work on taking back the other half if at all.

Land ...

This game is made for landpassing. These is nothing in place to stop it.
I'm not sure on the numbers but I don't think much has changed here in terms of attacking as opposed to a few years ago, and back then plenty of people had far more defensive strategies. The current mage recovery rate aside ...

There /is/ incentive. You keep all your land and don't need to worry about getting it back. But there's also disincentive that if you wall you get mobbed.

Good job double posting something unimportant.

I say again, this isn't a problem with the game but its players. Go look at other Promisance games, such as QMT or ZA. Now our game settings are a bit different but much of the same walling logic still holds. Except here if you wall, you get lynch mobbed. -_-

Even as it is mage is by far the most powerful strategy.
Got any proof? I think it's not. Mage is nothing without indy support. Now, perhaps you could argue it the other way around too, but I'd say not as much. When you say mage takedowns, you mean suiciding with mages? That was meant to be ...

It was implemented a year ago or more, but now playing seriously again, I realize the consequences. Originally it was meant to make mage more of a commitment, so you couldn't shuffle in and out of huts. But I don't see what harm that would do if you could. Whereas, those who need some huts get hurt ...

I think I liked the old refill rate a lot better. Right now it's awkward because my huts are filling slowly. Meanwhile, people decide to mage-attack me, and a single run of theirs seems to put me back several days. I think we should either go back to the old hut fill rate (I would prefer this) or ...
