Sounds good, but if you do it wrong, it could be so exploited that it's not funny. Just like war on Utopia; people have fake wars to gain the benefits of going to war without the negatives. Eventually you might have this situation:Zephyrus wrote: It needs to have trends. Peaks and lows, each happening at semi-regular intervals. Determined by in-game events. (If there is a clan war, war related stocks rise, peace-related stocks fall, etc.)
Clan A and Clan B are good friends.
Clan A buys 1000k stocks of XXX war type.
Clan A proceeds to declare war on Clan B.
Clan A makes lots of $ off the stocks.
Rinse and Repeat for Clan B to make some money.
Also, when isn't there an occasion when one clan is at war and another is at peace? If they're to be exclusive of each other, who's do we rank higher? Number of wars as opposed to peace declarations. Is peace Ally or just the lack of war? The system would have to be muchly fleshed out before you could even think of something like this.
Cool idea though.

Well, I meant admin-controlled. It would work if the admins watched stock and adjusted accordingly. The rest of the time, the stock would work with some randomness, but a few preset variables which determine its outlook in the near and far future which are changes occasionally.
Also, stocks in troop types, food and cash stocks, leader stocks, and such based on people's use of them.

Back. I think.

I bet the Admins have their hands full as it is. Devari is managing, and pwning, his own game and Beatles and Veranor are busy 24/7 putting in new things that we come up with on the forums (they tend to get behind, but it's blamed on school, what isn't?
). So unless a new Admin is appointed speciffically to do the Stocks, I doubt this will come into play any time soon.

"Two" said Gimli, patting his axe. He had returned to his place on the wall. "Two?" said Legolas. "I have done better, though now I must Grope for lost arrows; all mine are gone. Yet I make my tale twenty at the least. But that is only a few leaves in a forest."
"Twenty-one!" said Gimli. "Good!" said Legolas. " But my count is now two dozen. It has been knife work up here."
"Forty-two, master Legolas!" he cried. "Alas! My axe is notched; the forty-second had an Iron collar on his neck. How is it with you?" "You have passed my score by one," answered Legolas. "But I do not grudge you the game, so glad am I to see you on your legs!"

And metal wrought like fishes' mail,
Buckler and corslet, axe and sword,
And shining spears were laid in hoard.

I think you need to bite your tongue, coz every post after that one form urran was technically spamming, coz it was off topic. I hate hypocrits, you know. The Beatles wrote:
