best option? use MDK to format and just wipe thoes partitions with Fedora's installer..
I'm going to reinstall 'er today anyways, 'cause I made a rather big mess of XFCE.. it refuses to use anything but Nautilus as a desktop thing, and its using its old version of panel.. and it crashes randomly on the odd occasion.. believe I messed somthin up playing around with it.. Linux isnt great about 'undo' commands

yip
but win xp is almost all gui.. still quite a bit of editing the files by hand in linux.. less chance of a mistake when you hit a button, but then with the button you have to 'appy' then 'ok' then 'are you sure?' then 'do you want to keep this setting?' then 'you must reboot to appy your setting'
*grin*
I kinda like a quick edit better, as long as I can find a tutorial if I get stuck..
I read the new Solaris (sp) by SUN has a self-healing feature.. it has a few backups of itself and patchs as needed if somthin goes amiss.. rather neat idea..
