I was thinking... We're all pretty geeky here. Why not "quantify" ourselves into D&D stats, just for a little bit of fun? I'm surprised no one has done this before.

My personal stats:

8 Strength
9 Dexterity
10 Constitution
11 Intelligence
9 Wisdom
9 Charisma

Yours?

This is very silly.

How many points do we get? You have 56... O_o *Goes off to check super outdated book*

For the interm

Strength:7
Dexterity:8
Constitution:9
Intelligence:13
Wisdom:14
Charisma:16

*Shrug* Everyone tells me I have a high Charisma in RL. *Shrug* Suppose they'd be right.

(10 is average, btw)

No, I'm not using point buy, I'm just using what I see as my real approximation.

Alas, I grew up in a world devoid of D&D. ;)

I did too, for the most part. Unfortunately, it is difficult to be a geek these days without having some knowledge of it.

Eh, I've never agreed with geek traditions. I take zero interest in Japanese multimedia, diet coke, RPGs, video games, Star Trek, clothing with writing on it, sneakers, pointy hair, fast mathematical calculations, libertarianism, a lack of personal hygiene, what have you.

I mean, I'm a geek. I love history and math and computer science, my favorite way to spend time is to read or watch old shows, I consciously try to distance myself from mainstream thought (although not mainstream habits!), I love to talk about history and all. But equally, I bet people who don't know me well wouldn't call me a geek, just because I don't conform to that stereotype.

(On that note, when will we ever escape the Realist age?)

It's a joke. ;)

For my own part, the vast amount of what you just mentioned does not appeal to me. Especially the lack of personal hygiene thing....

Erk! I hate history, good at maths but don't like it, enjoy science though (apart from biology unless we get going into all the rude stuff :P). I like ICT though :D...

I got GCSE Grade B in both Maths and ICT and C in everything else but history (E) lmao

Some of that stuff is not geek tradition, it's just fricking cool.

For me: Anime is meh except for a few; diet coke is disgusting; HUGE gamer(both tabletop RPG's and video game RPG's); video games(who doesn't?); Star Trek was a good show that still has relevance now, I don't care what anyone says; I know very few people who don't have some sort of design or writing on their clothing, that's not geek, that's mainstream; everyone wears sneakers; I have a white fro, nuff said; I suck at math; I do tend toward the libertarian point of view on many issues, but for the most part I'm a moderate; lack of personal hygiene... ok it's called gamer of funk, and I've had it a few times, but for the most part I'm rather fanatical about cleanliness.

You all know I am a geek, I loves teh history, and computers, math is meh, biology major.. so you know I like that.

As to my stats..

Strength 11
Dex 6
Con 10
Int 13
Wis 7
Cha 10

Definitely not a super charismatic person, but I have my moments, very intelligent of course, and the only reason I have Str 11 and con 10 is because of size.

Freen, in point-buy, everything starts at ten, you get like 15 points, and then add/subtract to get the desired stats.

<_< I wasn't doing point buy. I was just making teh same points go. whatever. Even if I did use the same amount, mine are pretty good.

I <3 anime, as I play Bleach. w00t! Diet if for losers, RPGs=my life. Video games are a necessity for me to get through the day. Thank the gods for my DS. Star Trek; Yes, I watch it on Spike every day. Clothing with writing on it; Not sure about that one. I normally just wear plain clothes, but I do have my iron-on ones :), sneakers; Nah, I have hiking boots of sorts. No pointy hair, combed down. Fast Mathmatical calculations; I can beat most cash registers. Libertarianism; Nah, I'm a socialist. B). Lack of personal hygiene. Well... There is a lack, I can say that. But I don't smell. I don't shave everyday. I don't see a need too. I almost never leave the house anyway.
