We're the only Redwall based Promisances that I know of, and we should be linked to eachother and co-exist. I think that the Admin of both sites should put aside their differences to help create a better environment with more people, and to improve on eachother's games.

Don't bother, Nohc, this has been tried before. Retto doesn't give straight answers, for whatever reason: moral issues, time commitment, whatever. Nothing will come out of it. I put this topic up for discussion, but a lot of things have been tried many times.

Oh, I don’t think it was much of an argument, but a discussion. And I feel it did go a long way. Sometimes understanding the other side’s point of view and seeing things from their side is indeed enlightenment on both sides.

I had made an account here after having done a search on this site for the admin names at RWL and found a lot of slamming. I don’t have anything against FAF wanting to increase their membership, but what seemed (at least) to be an attempt to decrease our membership was only creating a hardship for all the members that wanted to peacefully be a member of both sides. My point was seen and FAF’s attitude on the matter has changed for the positive.

On the other hand, FAF’s want to grow and progress was made clear to me. Once they got my point and stopped attacks, we at RWL stopped being defensive to any actions of FAF and respect has grown. Surly it has to be understood that when FAF started it was promoted at a “better alternative to game play then RWL� (paraphrased). And in response it only made sense that RWL would immediately see any action of FAF as an attack, even the ones that were not. Now that a more peaceful attitude toward RWL exists, RWL has removed the archers from our walls.

Improvement is often slow. And if the animosity is gone on both sides, then indeed there was value to our talks.

This dates to far before FAF. You see, back in the days of Warbands 2, someone took RWL out of the operating credits. Who, and how isn't exactly known. RWL then banned advertiseing to hurt Warbands in responce.

FYI, the only reason the no-ads rule was created was to punish those RWL-clones that violated the GNU contract (as in the use parts of the source written by Retto and myself without giving credit or redistributing). We aren't Big Brother or anything... we were just protecting our intelectual property.

That was Karlin, who showed many times he did not understand the principles of copyringht and intellectual property, on his other web sites as well. But that's been a while ago and I bet he's grown up.
