About the quality part.. I agree! I mean some of the players in my clan (NO OFFENCE!!) including me... aren't very good but just becuz we have a lot of people we can just take down anyone.. Even Ruddertail who is one of the top 5 players!!
Yes, you took me down because you killed me. I doubt you could have brought me down if you hadn't killed, but only taken me to 2k.
Yeah we could not have taken you down if we didn't kill you.. But I was thinking that it was probably the only way we could have taken you down!

It most likely was. That's when you just have to try your best, and take your defeat like a man. Or, talk to the person, and try to reach an agreement so you don't have to fight them. (That's what I always do. I don't like getting beaten down anymore then you do... :P) Killing should never be done in that situation, though.

Yeah... sorry about that! It won't happen again! And I did notice that you were only taking like 2000-3000 land from each person and not doing massive attacks..

I would have been, though. I joined Urran and his clan, I was going to kick into full war operations the next day. Should have held off until I had a full run...

Yes, it's a very good thing that you were cowardly enough to kill me just because I could possibly have prevented you from dominating. You deserve your own place of honor! (Major sarcasm!)

I agree wholeheartedly with everything except reaching an agreement so you don't have to fight a better player. I've been kicked all over the prom before and instead of trying to come to a do not hit agreement I talked to the player, showed him my build and my strat and asked him what I was doing wrong. I got some advice and struck back just as hard as I could.

He was clearly the better player but I still worked on him everyday. Since then we have clanned together many, many times and kicked quite a few other players around. You'd be surprised at how many players send threatening messages instead of asking for advice. My advice to anyone, if you think you're not getting the most you can at of your empire then ask someone you think is good what you're doing wrong.

True. But if I was figting someone, I wouldn't be inclined to gived them advice, whereas if we were nutral, I would mind, since I'm not so worried that it will be used agianst me. And, vice versa, if I was fighting someone, I wouldn't want them to see my strat, otherwise they might pick out even more holes in it. But talking to another, experienced player is difinatly a good idea.

I didn't care if he saw a hole in my strat, he already proved his strat was far superior to mine. There is no question that many people will withhold some of their tricks, and alot may not tell you anything at all. But there are quite a few players that will help you out at least a little bit. In my case I got lucky and found someone that loves to teach so he tells all his tricks.

I still talk to quite a few good players about some strat or another. Usually the ones I'm warring with don't let out alot of info until after the set is over but that's understandable. Bottom line is you learn much faster by talking to an experienced player than any other method. If they don't help you then they don't help you, you were losing before so it's not gona hurt you any to try.
