Most of us rednecks, at least my friends, don't fall under the hillbilly/hick/drunks side of it.

The South is great, I still try and find that 'accent' the Northerners say we have? ;)

speaking of accents, has anybody ever heard a Minnesota people? I find that they sound semi-similar to Amish. *laughs*. We (at CWF) had the greatest fun going around talking about each other's accents.

Well, I spent a week with many people from Minnesota and South Dakota. There's a slight difference, but the accent is mostly noticed on the "o". I didn't mean it to be degrading, i was just saying that it was fun.

I know. :*laughs*: Do Wisconsinites have the same accent? We have relitives in Wisconsin, and I havn't noticed a difference in the way they talk compared to my family.

(even though my state was part of the north, people from my county--hampshire in the eastern panhandle--were all confederates to my knowledge.)
