3's and 7's isn't Sevah. He asked if he could take land before he attacked me today. Sevah wouldn't do that.

Well he's onlined me twice now. Then said he started running first so he had the right to hit me mid my run, even though i'm fairly sure I started first anyways. Whatever, he's not very good and most of his attacks fail so it's not that big of an annoyance.

Erm. I just checked the logs Arty. He was in the middle of attacking and running. SO it looks like he had the right of way. O_o Why didn't you see that?

I'll investigate further.

Not really, I attacked iluvashley (formerly one) a few times, but then the phone rang and I ended up talking to my friend for a while, I came back and continued my attack on him, he may have been in the middle of his run, or just started it, I don't care, it doesn't give him the right to attack me when I'm clearly running and trying to free up the land then when I retaliate yell at me for onlining him. Not even a message or anything, he just attacked. After he said he messaged Shadow before attacking him, which means nothing to me cause he also attacked me with no message. This is now the second time that he has done this. I only standard attacked him like 15 times, next time I ain't leaving anything.

He is new to the game, cut him some slack. I remember when I joined RWL I would spend whole runs murdering people just to see what it did :*laughs*:

he has learned not to online, but if you continue to harrass him over a simple misunderstanding he has a right to be pissed.

To be honest, I was running an experiment to see how people handled newbies and such. That person is me.

It doesn't matter if you went off on the phone or had to itch your balls. You were offline. That doesn't give you the right to keep running when someone else is.

You onlined me and worse you ravaged a very small empire. Which very well could have been a new player. Good job.

You just said it. "It doesn't give anyone the right to attack me while I'm in the middle of my run." Which I was. You sir, by formal definition were not running.

You wanna be a jerk this round. So will I. See the next topic.

Arty - if the star goes off, you're offline. Period. Especially when you're "talking to a friend for a while". You go offline in the middle of a run, it's your own fault if you get hit. I've been online hit before while I was busy, and it was my fault. Same thing here. It doesn't matter who it is - if it had been Sevah, in this case, he woulda been in the right.

Btw - and this might be unrelated, if Arty message Freen to stop before hitting, but I'll throw it out there anyhow - I've long thought that the saying, "ignorance of the law is no excuse" is the most bogus statement ever. If somebody is ignorant, you have no justification for holding them in account.
If this had been a newbie, I'd say the oldbie was wrong in hitting him back with online STDs, even if the newbie had clearly and intentionally onlined them, simply because in all probability, the newbie has no clue about the gentlemen's type agreements that restrict online attacks. An oldbie has some responsibility to newbies, that being to show them the ropes, go easy on them for stupidity, and generally ease them into things.

Used in this context it is a bogus statement, not in many others I would say.

If a noob onlines you, send them a message explaining why that is bad. Only retaliate if they do it again after you have explained it, or if they are rude about it.

There was no mailing. He just hit, and hit hard. I had to stop to store cash and try to put guards up. If he would have messaged this could have been avoided.

In fairness to Arthus, he did think it was Sevah :*laughs*: . I would online Sevah if I got a chance just for the sake of laughing at him.

But until market storing is killed, a war won't really do much damage to either player.
