By RWL standards which I am used to, Freen would be at fault, although the whole situation is mostly a big misunderstanding. I think most players have subtly different conceptions of the unwritten rules that govern fairplay in these games, and Freen's just doesn't agree with Arthus'.

I understand your point Freen, and I am not overcomplicating the situation. I am explaining why you should not have been surprised at the reaction, especially given the messages Arthus had been receiving lately. I think most players would have assumed that someone sending such messages was not new to promi - i remember when I joined RWL back in 2003 I was afraid to attack much above my rank, let alone threaten people.

It doesn't matter what Arthus was doing at the time. If I see a star, I send a message and wait 5 minutes. It has avoided misunderstandings on all but one occasion involving Ruddertail

This is offtopic, but instead of sitting with your proverbial finger up your ass for 5 minutes you could just watch their networth and see if it changes for 1 minute.

Just an expression for someone waiting a long time to do something. But if someone has no change in networth for 1 minute they are either done or slower than all hell. I mean if it takes someone over a minute to spend 1 turn then I would rather just online them than wait. Not like they'd be able to hit back by the time anyone finished, right? *laughs*

Yeah, I apologise that a friend called me, i'll make sure to tell them to piss off because I'm playing a promi game... Though i'm sure that wasn't what you meant, do clarify, was it that I didn't mention it in my last post?

I might be missing something, but from what I gather you're saying Freen onlined you when you were on the phone/not running turns.

It's not an online hit if the defender isn't doing anything. Freen shouldn't have to wait for you to get off the phone to run turns.

I guess not, but it is still uncertain. If you see someone online it doesnt cost much to send a message or espy.

I should wait for you to take the land I already started to collect and lost alot getting and start again with 100 less turns? That's just stupid. If that was directed at me, I am agreeing with you there. Now if you had appeared offline when Freen attacked, it would be a different story, but according to all accounts you were online when he hit you. So I think you are in the right here.

Just run turns while you're on the phone or say "Hey man, wait a minute" instead of expecting people to wait for you to get off the phone to run turns.

I didn't know you were running turns Arty. I've said that repeatedly. And Yes. You lost your time to run. Make it up later. You're so good that you don't need other people to help you win, whats one botched run?
