No, I'm not really.

Stored turns in my mind, aren't supposed to help you make runs 2x faster than normal. Think of it this way.

Would you rather run 2x in one day, then roughly once every day for a week? (8 runs)
Or would you rather run about every 14hrs, not including nights?

I think you'd want the 14hr thing. Even if you're a few hours late, it doesn't burn you that bad.

With what you're suggesting, you're most likely not going to run when you should anyway. This is going to make running on time far more important than what we have.

Come on Volk, you MUST realize that.

No Freen, it's you who aren't seeing. Right now, to get full benefit from stored turns you have to run every 14.whatever hours. That means that if you want to take advantage, then 1/4 of your runs are going to have to be in the wee hours of the morning, which I and many others do not have the time to do. My suggestion allows you to choose your run time anywhere from 8-25 hours away so that you can run at your convenience and still get full use from all the turns that enter your account.

My suggestion will not make you run 2x faster. You keep repeating this, and it is completely and utterly false and illogical. Your account still gets the exact same number of turns added to it, whichever bin they go into, so your average run speed will not be changed in the least; my system just adds flexibility.

Try it, for one round. People will love it. It should also be noted that you, Freen, are the only one voicing an opinion counter to mine. The player base agrees with me on this one, so it's worth a trial at the very least.

That's exactly what they are meant to do, increase the speed at which your turns refill, for a quick one shot boost. It's called strategy.

Stored turns would refill in a couple days, especially the way most people run, which is not on a strict schedule of however many runs per X number of hours.
I think you'd want the 14hr thing. Even if you're a few hours late, it doesn't burn you that bad.
Neither option "burns you". You can run, then leave your account sit for 24 hours, and come back, or you can run once in the morning, run again at night, and then come back and run again the next day.
With what you're suggesting, you're most likely not going to run when you should anyway. This is going to make running on time far more important than what we have.
Oh bollocks. It's not going to change how important it is to run on time, it's just going to add in an extra element of strategy to the game, just like it's supposed too.

Let's put it to a vote, I'll go with whatever the general playerbase wants.

... Why not? Because you say so? Because you don't like a change that the entire player base does like, it doesn't get changed?

Wow, that was smart.

Think really hard here. -What- has been changed recently that wasn't major?

Nothing. The people who can code, don't have time for little things. So, yes. It most likely will not get done.

But this is a major fix. It has been a problem for years that several people have tried to change. I'd say it's the most important change on the list that hes been made public. What changes are on the plate that are more important?

Many. Look at the TODO list in Suggestion and Bugs.

And this is not as important as you're thinking it is, compared to stuff in there. Since its really a time based line. This is at the bottom of that.

The most recent post in there is over half a year old, in a topic that has no relevance to the game beyond a readout glitch that doesn't affect gameplay in the least. I think your priorities need to be based on more than time. Most of the fixes there are already done, or too small to worry about. The player base thinks this one is important, you do not.

Meh, if you final resort at brushing off this suggestion is that people don't have time for it, I'll take the argument elsewhere and cut out the middleman. This isn't getting me anywhere.

Freen - this is the kind of five minute thing you can usually (but not always) get Beatles to do if you bug him on AIM. It's (I'm assuming) a matter of changing the variable.

I don't have AIM, but if you could ask him for me Rudder that would be much appreciated. Somehow I doubt Freen will be doing it any time soon. But honestly, if you have tome to change the name of raise tax to collect trbute, you have time to change a few variables.

Lol, try getting a hold of him. I IM'd him 6 days ago, and got a reply yesterday.

I'm pretty I could get this changed in five minutes, if I was sure we were all agreed to it.

Only one dissenting voice so far, and I think he has recently agreed to it. Go go go!
