I refer you all to these threads, likely long forgotten. Forgotten by most, but not by all. In their day, these threads were definitely full of controversy, and raw uncontrolled emotion. I refer you to when Retto tells the Burninate to, and I quote, "shut up." Not manhy know Retto well, but just from his posts, you can say he isn't too prone to showing emotion. Yet, clearly, he was angry here. Did we mention the other voices in the posts? I'm pretty certain everyone, including most of the RWL staff, has good reason to be annoyed. After all, Burninate was banned, as was Beatles.

Now, Beatles is a staff member. So is nevadacow. So is Veranor. And Holby's got enough of a link that people can still use it against him. So, someone could possibly argue that the Burninate is more or less the FAF staff. I don't feel like arguing the truthfulness of this, simply feel the need to mention that, like it or not, whatever was said by Burninate was esentially the views of the FAF administration.

So, someone's going to be out for revenge. Or, really, it doesn't really need to be revenge. Such things could be done from altruism.

My point being, when FAF comes out, and someone sees the broken link to the source, they're liable to cry wolf. (No pun intended. But you get the pun, anyways, right?)

What do you think will happen then? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

Just remember, we've still got links to TSR, whether or not we choose to. That gives us a bit of a history, and we're not really all that newer than RWL because of it. But, it also comes with a bit of controversy. People already have opinions against TSR and they're going to apply to us whether we like it or not.

So, someone release the code.

When someone yells violation of the license, it's already too late, as you're not going to stop them from forever holding it against this site.

And as we often mention the actions of Retto's crew, they may feel the need to mention our actions.

I believe it was someone of Burninate who contacted PC Purgett. We don't need to give Retto a reason to do so as well.
