Suggestion: Updating 'New Mail'

As bugs and suggestions are fixed/implemented/rejected, they will be moved in here.

When I sent a test message to myself, the new mail indicator came up as it should. I clicked on the message, and, the status bars, both top and bottom still read new mail, when the bottom should reflect the fact that I have read the message. When I reload the page, the new mail indicator is gone, as it should be.

I'm not sure what this was doing in the archived forum, as this hasn't been fixed... Or is this intentional?

This would be insane to fix, as it's JavaScript. Let's shelf it for now.
