This happened to me once. It can be prevented my either putting a pass on the clan as South has said, or, just keeping the treasury closed. And, yes, pound gondor for it. This is a rather dispicable act, and you would be fully justified in handing out a severe pounding.
I just checked gondor's stats. Looks like somone already pounded them... If it was you, congrats.

You know what else is irritating? TO be #1 in the game and being consistently knocked down by three people. Who then can't seem to fortify their postion. Its really irritating. I don't knmow what their problem is, but they are about to get pwned.
