Yeah, but my strategy was just thrown into disarray, partially by my clanmate (thanks for taking my pub market troops, Beatles!

if I felt like it methinks I could wreak havoc on somone's horde.. but the problem being it usually decimates me at the same time, so not much gain, unless for revenge purposes

That's what I mean. You would be in such bad shape that you would be free land, and free resorces (if you had any resorces left) so by the time you did serious damage you would be in such bad shape that you couldn't attack any farther, and they would have a chance to rebuild and retal.

If I damaged myself to the point where it's hard for me to get back up, the other horde is dead

plus, with current market, clan treasuries, stock market and the good ol' bank it is easy to just store everything away and just wait for turns. As long as you're not killed and keep a few bil stored you can make a fair recovery

True. Ok, so someone could kill another. But the person doing the killing is as good as dead if the person being killed has strong allies... At least, I would think so...
