Does anyone use Heroes still? I find them quite useful, but I haven't played a full round since January and have never really had the chance to get one since Deep Thought.

I'd have to say I think they would be most useful on COG, since it is a longer-term game than BFR and involves a bit more planning.

I love them, personally -- always worth them in the long run, even for BFR. On Duels though, suicide. You weaken yourself and you could be dead.

I love them. Grumm works great with a forager barrack strat, that's what I had with the first account this BFR round. Slasher, you only have to use 1,000 turns, not 10,000

I had /three/ the first round of BFR. If I recall correctly, Brome, Grumm, and Cregga. The war hero was the defensive one, can't remember if that was Cregga, but I think so. It was quite awesome. And I had a good race too, so it was essentially unbeatable defence, good health, and good cash from Grumm's food.

Heroes aren't always for the dash to the top, but they're usually useful for keeping you up once you get there.
Back. I think.

They're all great, but you should buy them early. That way their powers will help you all set (unless you get killed) and they don't cost as much. I just always forget. XD

Um, I don't understand you guys. They'd help out a lot on Challenge, too. And the only cost 150 turns, unless they cost more on Challenge.

You have to use 1,000 turns before you can get a hero. And the last time I got a hero on the challenge, it took all my turns... I don't know that it was ever fixed...

I usually get Methusa I think.. the loyalty guy.. he rocks ^_^

my main problem is my strat is a simple one troop massing style, making it harder to get a hero because it requires certain amounts of /every/ troop type...

I had him my first round. Worked quite nice with a pure hawk strat. Brome also works well with that strat, you can murder all day without worry about health...
