The trailer looks O.K. But I never imagined Ford to be black. America...

Nah, the trailer looks too over-the-top and action film-y. I really liked the style of the TV series (got it from the library). I don't think I'll bother watching it.

I'm fairly sure Ford was never black, but maybe the books never actually described him...

And what they did to Marvin is unforgivable! ...Although, I have to say I would see why he would be very depressed... Looking like that - sheesh.

True, I haven't looked at the trailer very closely. And I haven't seen the TV series: my bad.

well before he died (douglas adams) was helping him write the screen play. i have no illusions that hitchikers will ive up to the book. it goes on to many tagents to make a movie make sense. also at lest they got a good voice for martian alough he looks wierd

Yeah, Adams did write a screenplay. However, he died way before filming, so apparently it was changed from what we had written - I'm not sure how much, though.

well the direct is a fan of the novels, and i read an inturview were he said if he emess it up he gets expected to get beatren by rabid fans..
so if its bad every have a torch and pitchfork ready?
