Instead of simply distrusting all user excuses for multis, perhaps we could have another catagory of multipal accounts. This class of multi would not be allowed to attack in direct sucession with any other account from the same IP, would not be allowed to join the same clan, and would not be allowed to send or recive aid from any account witht he same IP address.

Monitored by scripts or people?

This would be scripted into the game. Perhaps we might add another collum in the database to keep track of which players shared the same connection/location as others.

Multis can be harmful in other, more subtle ways as well. Imagine a 1-person clan, like the Spades clan at RWL, in a clan war with another clan. They don't even need to log in successively.

I could be wrong, but it could be that the multis not getting caught are the non-legitimate ones.

This would appily to lidigt multis, which we would assume wouldn't do stuff like that. It's a means of keeping honest people honest, that's all.

Not letting them join the same clans? Wouldn't it be more helpful to a multi to get into his enemies' clan? My brother (or a multi in any case) can either join my clan (massing net) or any other clan (learning), just depends on what he/she wants to do.

Well, I think that the "auto-Multi" system we have works well enough. Perhaps, though, there could be a contact form under the "You have been disabled..." message from which you can send the adminstrator(s) an explanation. It could perhaps go into InvisionPM or in-game to the administrator accounts instead of to an e-mail if needed.
