I don't think there's really a name for that here. It would be included in the general term "indy", (which is every strat bassed on barracks) but I don't know if there's a more speciffic term for it. People that go 100% hawks are called hawkers or hawk massers...

FWF: I like the dictionary idea
strange how when you go from one forum to another all the words change meaning!
Ruddertail: You're right, that is an indy strat.
And some side questions ...
Do hawks contribute to the networth?
How can you stop yourself from losing hawks when you lose land? The number of hawks you can recruit is related to the # of huts you have. When you lose land, and you lose huts, you end up losing hawks too? Is there a way to prevent that? Doesn't that make it very difficult to mass hawks since they'd disappear when you lose land?

Huts fill to 90 hawks per hut.* Hawks start leaving only after 150 hawks per hut. Therefore, you only lose hawks if you lose large amounts of land. Also, your ratio is made much better by having more hawks per hut, so you get more cash from your loots, and have an easier time doing offensive hawk missions. I belive there is a FAF dictionary. I'll find it and post the link when I have time.

Well, we were discussing that in General discussion. Basicly, the only advantage is that they can't kill you. And you prevent them from being able to remove any masive stores of troops on the market and using those. Otherwise, just like you said, the satisfaction of killing someone who's being a real pain...
Edit: I don't know of anyone who noonvales... Some people might, but I'm not aware of any.

when you noonvale, you scout for most of your turns.. Then you take this land and build markets, farms, or guards (guards require markets also). If you are going for networth, make all your land farms. Food isn't worth a lot of networth, but gaining approximately 2,000,000 a turn can shoot you networth right up.
If you do this, it will be found out that you noonvale and will be attacked for your resources. this is why it is best to do this in a clan (treasury) and/or in a slow server.
woah, did I just write something worthwhile?

Your definition of Noonvale means going peaceful with the assumption that people will hit you. That's usually true. But here's the thing. If you don't use troops, guards are at half strength. Not that you'd have enough for anything to begin with.
It's always easier to be like Ad and rely on reputation, so people know not to attack you. And even that relies on food being worth a certain amount of net, and it isn't here.

Back. I think.

Iffy is good at HPRing and massing food. I've seen him do it many times and not encounter half as many defenses as I have in the same round. Usually (unless war mongerers are present), people won't hit you except for a quick land grab more than twice a week. This land can then easily be scouted back up.
