Best way to fight back against killers

Just wondering, what's the best strat against killers? Seems like anyone can be killed pretty easily, since if you set guards up, you can't continue growing your NW (and get more troops), so you stagnate until they get enough to break you, or, if you are putting stuff away in market, you become an easy victim...

What's the best strategy? (Apart from not getting on someone's to-kill list hehehehe)

I really don't know. I'd advise just getting on fairly often, so they have a hard time killing you. And don't let yourself get to low in land... Maybe someone else has a few technicues for avoiding being killed, and if so, I'd be glad to here them to.

That's two words

But that's a good point. If you have reson to believe someone is planning to kill you, take them out. Kill if neccesary, or just do dammage and prevent them from getting in a posistion to kill you. Also, if you have allies, they can serve as a discuragement, since the person who kills you knows he will probably get killed, too.

If someone tries kill runs, immediately go into defensive mode. Leave nothing out. Do not value land. Every day, you will come back to 1k or so. have stored troops, make more troops with land captures, and get revenge. You make the assumption that they lose far more than you.

If a group is after your death, you may as well spend what little time you have left keeping them down, but I've learned from experience that nothing short of defending everything will keep them from the kill in one run.

can you be more specific about going into defensive mode? should i build all guards and pull all my troops from market? but then the sheer maintenance cost will drain me...

and, what if they decide to just sit and wait... hehehehehe

Maybe I misnamed it? Go into pure single-troop massing. Forget defense. It's called defensive because you are trying to store not net, and hope the other guy gives up.

ahh, so you mass one type of troop and use that to keep yourself alive, and minimize your losses?

but if you attack someone who has no troops of that type, they lose very little troops? (i know from experience :> )

so they can take all the land, and you get killed if you drop to land 0? i'm confused!

I think he means to assume that they will break you anyway. Mass one troop type because it's easiest to break people that way, and get as much land as you can so that they need to attack you more to kill you. Make sure you attack them too, so that they weaken.

My own advice: If you know someone's trying to kill you, kill them.

Yeah, but the question is, "Did they try to kill us?"
