I see. Well, it looks like I'm getting too tired to understand stuff. Maybe I'd better head off to bed...
Zeph, I can tell you from experience that that strat you laid out won't work very well at all. That's basicly the strat that kept me puttering around at 10 mil net on 15k land for the better part of a year... Build everything, support your troops, don't sell anything. Maybe it'd actually work if you massed one troop type, but I kind of doubt it.

Ruddertail, I believe it would. Large if-statements involved, though. If you say it's easier to manage one thing, you've probably got a point. However, hawks are the only thing which benefit from being all-or-none.
Beatles, if you want to say the earth is flat, I won't stop you. It's not too far off given a few (now almost never accepted) assumptions.
An addition, [will move to cashing thread later]

Back. I think.

I made 39bil in 2 two days selling food, while buying 25 mil mice in the process.Nohc wrote: Why does selling food give you more cash than markets anyway?
Why would anyone use markets then??
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

It doesn't really. Markets are better than foragers for making cash. But the Amazing Indy Strat relies on troop selling, not food selling. Most people are instinctively shy of selling troops to make a living; that was one of the big realizations behind the Amazing Indy Strat.
Zephyrus, I'm not saying the Earth is flat. Read closer. Just that saying markets are better than barracks is equivalent to that statement.

Yea, I bet I could get close to the top spot if i knew how to use barracks and foragers in conjunction. With just food, I can get to the top spot, but with barracks, I might be able to hold it. I tried the Indy strat today, wasn't my thing, although, it gave me some key ideas.Ruddertail wrote: In my experience, I've found that troop selling combined with food selling is a great way to go about it.

Please don't clutter up my topic.
If you're going to sell troops, it seems like a better idea to try and sell them on the market, stockpile as much food as you can, and use some turns to build camps and remove your troops and make bigger profits.
Edit: Woah... how did I become Shadow all the sudden?
Oh yeah... this is not my primary computer so it auto-logged me in as him...

Yea the whole barracks thing didn't work out. I despise them. Plus, I already have a sizeable army that can break I'd say 95% of everyone playing.
