Heaven
Uses Linux or a BSD exclusively. Only keeps a Windows partition around (if at all) for programs that might not execute under wine.

Purgatory
Installed Linux once, or tried to install it, but uses Windows mostly. We don't know why.

Hell
Windows users.

-Zephyrus (complains about it, but still uses it)

Please post what you use so I can classify you. I'll provide Linux download links later.
Slasher is either Purgatory or Heaven, will have to ask.

Purgatory... I have a Linux machine sitting right under the desk, but I have had no luck getting the local lan working (I even bought a hub...), so the Linux machine just sits there, the only useful thing it can do being desktop games. That, and my Linux machine has a bunch of garbage hardware (most of which is from 1996) in it, and is thus somewhat slow.

Fedora core 3 currently installed..
/one/ buggy.. it uses a gnone loader, and the only other enviorment it likes is KDE, so I cant just default into xfce.. I have to specify which to go into, which works, but is a bit annoying...
other than some games and a video program I have no need to go back to windows...
Windows XP is indeed hell.. *kills it*
I just need to do a clean install I 'spose.. but still, only 6 months old and its havin problems..

Setting up GDM
If you installed Xfce 4.2 system-wide and use the GNOME Display Manager (gdm) to start your X session, you will have to create a .desktop file to teach gdm about your new Xfce install. Here is a sample xfce42.desktop:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Xfce 4.2 Session
Comment=Use this session to run Xfce 4.2 as your desktop environment
Exec=/usr/local/bin/startxfce4
Icon=/usr/local/share/pixmaps/xfce4_xicon1.png
Type=Application
It is usually enough to simply copy the example file to the Sessions directory used by gdm; this directory is usually located in /etc/dm/Sessions, /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions, /usr/share/xsessions, /usr/X11R6/share/gnome/xsessions or some other location, refer to the documentation of your system for details. You need to restart gdm after you copied the file.
Lets say, your system looks for available sessions in /usr/share/xsessions, then you will need to perform the following step (as superuser) to register Xfce with gdm:
cp /path/to/your/xfce42.desktop /usr/share/xsessions/xfce42.desktop
