Corban's idea isn't half bad...
Anyone know the kind of revenue one gets off this? I'll admit, I haven't exactly looked at AdSense before...

If you go down to the woods today, you better not go alone
It's a lovely day in the woods today, but safer to stay at home
BECAUSE EVIL FREEN IS KILLING ALL THE TEDDY BEARS AT THEIR PICNIC

That sort of thing is against the ToS.
We probably wouldn't be accepted depending on how they view the site, and encouraging users to click on anything is downright against the rules. What we could do instead if have a sister project that could somehow help support the site, maybe a site with articles related to programming, code snippets, whatever. That would be accepted in, and the ads would be more relevant.

Err... I just looked into it... Google says: "No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant."Devari wrote: Isn't that against the rules?![]()
From: https://www.google.com/adsense/policies
p.s. Its actually called adsense... adwords is where you can advertise...

Here is another idea that may work... What if we made the google adwords subtracted in a menulike thing very bottom of the page.
Something like this http://www.sothink.com/webtools/sliding ... /index.htm (except wider the right color and only one bar not an entire menu) and place text in it which says :click here to show ads: or :support us by showing ads: well... something along that line anyways.

Quality over quantity. 30 REALLY active members is more than you'd believe. 1000 people going randomly at each other makes the game so impersonal.Ruddertail wrote: Yeah, unfortunatly, we've never had all that many players... Hopfully, that will change! FAF's great now, think about if we had 1,000 players! Or even a few hundred. It'd be great.
Back. I think.
