In general, please send a message to the admin account as well as an optional pm to a forum admin

this way we're sure of which account we're changin and we're also sure that somone is just messin around and asking us to change some random person's info

I think he meant his forum account. That's the one I changed. In which case, sending a message to the in-game admin would not make much sense. PMing an admin is the best way to get your forum name changed.
