2. Thunderbird 1.0.2
3. OpenOffice.org Writer (not sure version, whatever is newest.. Fedora makes sure of that for me
4. Small/Lite Editor - Gedit (Gnome's editor)..
5. Programming - Gedit (:P) pretty font, + color.. works for me and my simple Java..
6. Music - XMMS (yay! Devari uses the same skin as I do.. I keep mine 'on top' and 'stuck' in collasped mode.. works well) I like Rhythmbox as well, but its heavier on the resources and xmms has a nicer collasped mode
7. File Manager - Nautilus (the XFCE filemanager is.. aqard for me..)
8. Terminal/Console - Gnome Terminal
(a few more)
website editor = NVU (not great, not bad)
IM = GAIM
Math = Maple 9.5 (wonderful people at maple gave me the linux version since I had previously purchased a windows version)
Image Manip = GIMP 2.2/ Photoshop 7 (yay, it works in linux.. /almost/ all filters, menus, everything is pretty.. but you cant use brushes.. you draw a sqiggle and it draws a strait line.. meh)) (Terragen, however, has a ways to go..)
on the panel I have: CPU monitor (the graph), wireless lan monitor, Weather, (then inorder: sound, ram, swapspace, battery monitor, and ofcourse the clock)
(ram is /never/ that high.. its almost always very low or not even on the graph.. not sure what I did to make it jump that high, but eh, I've gota gig of ram + gig of swap.. so it doesnt matter..)
edit: Go digup your screenshot Beatles!
hehe
edit2: one more special thing on my panel, forgot about it.. the green hdd icon, when I hover my mouse over it it displays how much space is left on my linux partitian, and launces nautilus when clicked.. nice feature..
