so in the guide it talks about past, future and present. but inthe game its southsward, mossflower, northlands..which one is which?

I think that the era bonusus need to be changed a little... because the Northlands has a definite advantage over Mossflower and Southlands...

Southward is good for hawks.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

But he's right in a way, there is no real reason to stay in Mossflower. There is no Rune penalty in the Northlands, and only a - 5% Industry in the Southward. If you hawk, you go to the Southward, if not, move to the Northlands. Maybe give Mossflower a + 5% to cash and a + 10% to food.

Mossflower is a place to hide, if your attacker has no hawks, they can't attack you there.

Mossflower should have +10% defense

I'm thinking food here. Almost everybody in the game has hawks and can just prepare them at almost no cost. Hawks are essential to defence with the hawk shield, so hiding in mossflower doesn't do that much for you sice everybody can prepare their hawks. Defence would also make sense. +5 food +10 defence, vice versa... Maybe a -5 to indy as well.
