Giving karma freely leads to some people getting more for sheer volume of posts, where a fewer percentage are 'good', but the rest are neutral, as opposed to someone saying less, but a larger percentage of things which are 'meaningful'. Note quotations. Eye of the beholder all the way.

I think that karma should have some more good parts... not just a reference..

Hey, what's up with this? Lately I've gotten 2 karma for no apparent reason... I think the admins are slacking in their job. Down with the admins! :D

As for my personal karma policy, I give karma for bug finding, fixing, and suggestions. I take for annoying spam that is completely off-topic. Very simple; I can leave the other stuff to other admins. :P
