Right now, I'm food selling, but is that not the best way to go? Could hawks also do the trick?
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

When you food sell, you are losing to the exchange. Better to directly produce what you need.

What would be a good percentage for barracks? Also whenever I use barracks, the one-turn cash losses get too much and I have to sell my troops on the public market and start over. Thanks for teh help.

Sell it on the Bazaar instead, to make more cash.

Barracks and Foragers together can be very good. Make enough food to sell for cash, and you're laughing. You can always sell troops when you are in a bind as well.

I'm thinking of abandoning the agrarian for now. I was going to try Hawks (haevn't used 'em in a year!), but I may just go back to my old ways (barracks/forager). :)

Well, right now I'm actually using barracks less then I do at low NW's. I've got about equal numbers of barracks and foragers. I find I'm getting enough food to make up for most of my costs, only having to troop sell at the start of my run.

Yeah, barracks and foragers mixed seems to work a lot better then straight foragers. You make a good amount of food this way and still gain networth as well with the barracks.

That's just what I have come to notice in the 4 days that I have had an empire here.

Bah, just when I'm ready to perfect my Agrarian, a different strat that works better at high nets comes into play. Perhaps I'll go pure Agrarian up to 100 mil net, then switch to foragers/barracks. That way, I'll have the food and cash from my earlier runs stored up in case I get into trouble. B)

That'd work. I think that's part of my problem, I can almost never save anything. I want to use it all right away, go for the high nets as fast as I can...

Nor can my brother or I. Which is why the DoD treasury is completely dry.

I made a rhyme. Let me give you all my signature now before my album goes aluminum. :*laughs*:

When you troop sell, do you sell on the bazaar, or the on the market? I believe I am going to try this strat next round...

Normally Bazzar sell, but I try to market store occasionally, just so I have a reserve...

I would suggest doing both.

From the looks of things market doesn't take any amount of units when they are withdrawn.

You can sell on the bazaar for cash and store on the market for those just in case times as well as giving you a nice net boost at sets end.

Actually, there is a commision. It adjusts according to NW, the higher your net, the higher the commision, up to 30%, I believe.
