New Unit Addition
Yes, they would be priced very highly and be produced very slowly. It wouldn't need to be a 1 to 1 ratio though it could be anything (though I would recommend low numbers). Also the specs will most likely need to be adjusted to fit the games balance.ohmyjapan16 wrote: I like the idea. But I would say more than one siege engine for a guard tower, because then if you had 10,000 engines, you'd be fine. Or you could price them very highly on the BM.

Possibly, though I just see it adding more strategy to the game. I it would provide a benefit to troop producers with a slight disadvantage to people who buy troops because of the high cost (or unavailability) of the siege engines on the market/bazaar. I think overall this would end up balancing the game out more for troop producers without crippling other strats. It would also add to the game without adding a great deal of additional complexity.Slasher wrote: Though I like the idea won't thins make the game easier for certian people?
p.s. Can a mod combine these two posts? Thanks.

there should also be a small chance to destroy a guard tower entirely, or some chance to kill off certain amount of enemies at once... (the latter can be for defending too...) I can't really imagine a rock from a catipult (how do you spell that?) not being able to kill anything... (but accuracy would be low wouldn't it? in defense, the more of an army attacking, the higher the chance of hitting a group with something, same for offense... this is just a suggestion, to a suggestion...)

Which is exactly what we want. Hawk and Agrarian are the two most powerful strategies, this would balance things a bit more. People could just build a lot of guards, and agrarians would have a few more problems getting land. Of course, we can't make guards too strong, otherwise we cripple agrarian, hawk, and anything else that doesn't rely mainly on barracks.Corban wrote:Possibly, though I just see it adding more strategy to the game. If you're not hawking, you only need enough huts to make enough loyalty so that you can raise defenses and prepare hawks when needed. Having extra doesn't make sense since a hawker will still have more powerful hawks.
A true hawking strat involves having only huts. Some people like to only use 50% huts or they like to build guards or something, but doing that only destroys the purpose of hawking.
Edit: Anyway, on topic:
It takes 250 mice = 1 tower = $100,000.
2,500,000 mice = 10,000 towers = 1,000,000,000.
So, if seige engines had no upkeep and could destroy towers, 10,000 of them should cost somewhere around... 1.5 bil? That'd be 150,000 each.
