Training Clan

For next round I'll be starting a training clan for new players. I'll be calling it TC. I'm asking that you go easy on the people in this clan, including me, since I'll be helping these guys, and don't want them dragged into a clan war. Don't hit them below 5k if the game is short on land, 10k if there's plenty, retal lightly. If they are playing overagressivly, talk to me, rather then just smushing them. I'll sort it out. (Or, if they insist on whacking you, I'll let you retal. I don't intend to train brats who think they can do anything they want.)

I'll have to fight them, I guess. But I trust that most people in this community are decent enough to give the newbies some slack, and that enough of them would be willing to stand with me in defending the new players that any agressors would soon find themselves in a very bad posistion.

Yeah. What we really should do is set up a non-resetting server with stricter hit limits either coded in or part of game policy. It'd be a great place for new players to learn, and would promote more civilized play among the oldbies. I'd love a server where hitting someone 7 times was normal, and hitting them 14 was war.

There should be a newbie server I think. I am goign to set one up on S&G again when i get the domain working again.

Why? That isolates new players from the rest of the community. The idea is not just to teach them the game, but to teach them how to function in the community, how to fight back against the other people, that kind of thing.

A newbie server's a good idea, but it wouldn't work with our small player base.
