Hello,

We've developed a chat system for your use. Here are the key points about it:
-1 game chat
-2 server chats
-one chat for each clan
-you can be in multiple chatrooms in new browser windows (mozilla definitely, IE not sure)
-realtime messages in both directions (this is quite revolutionary, and no other pure HTML/JavaScript chat has it - you are literally using a cutting-edge chat)
-very light interface
-low bandwidth for you dialup users
-private messages (just click on the user you wish to message)
-multiple lines (shift-enter)
-smilies and bbcode
-flood checking, so NO messages are ever dropped
-instantaneously notices joins/leaves [edit]

Enjoy!

What's your problem? What happens? And what do you mean by 'either'?

I type stuff in the box... then press enter... The text disappers... and nothing is posted in the box above... Is anybody else having this problem? It looks like the page might not be fully loading... Because I get an error box on the bottum left corner of my screen (in ie). and it keeps saying "Opening page: http:/?faf.staronesw.com/?chat&global&srv=1..."
Sorry I can't be of more help...

Just tested it on Mac OS X. Summary results for all three platforms:

Linux
-Mozilla Image
(not tested Konqueror)
Image ***Overall***

Windows
-Mozilla Image
-Netscape Image
-Internet Explorer (tested 6+) Image
(not tested older NS and IE versions)
Image ***Overall***

Macintosh
-Mozilla Image
-IE* Image
-Safari** Image
Image ***Overall***

*Can't receive messages. Also, you can post messages, except the first one you try. (it seems)
**Very weird behavior, can't receive messages, posting unreliable.

Mozilla Suite or Mozilla Firefox? I'm picky. :)

If I had Linux on my server computer right now, I'd test it with Konqueror for you. Unfortunately, it's a Windows 2k Server box right now, on account of a course I'm taking.

Hi Devari

I run Mandrake myself, I was just too lazy to test it yet. I'm generally not at work, but around campus, where there are only Windows computers. Besides, it's not top-priority.

Heh, yeah. I don't think anyone here really uses linux, at least not to play FaF.
