To avoid grief, adding a 9.3 repo may be worth it:
Without that, for example, no tellico etc.

Er... Are you sure? Can't binary incompatibility cause major problems?

As you can see, I actually have guru off. It seemed to cause some dependancy complaints.

No. Packages compiled for one version should run just fine on the other, and more up-to-date packages will be updated anyways.
The guru problems I've seen are just that they
a. depend on a package not in 10.0 (but in 9.3!)
or
b. have -guru appended to them, which sometimes confuses the version-determining algorithm (can be fixed manually)
So in summary, I'd recommend the 9.3 repo.

True. I do remember some really odd instability/dependency issues between my hoary/breezy dist-upgrade on Ubuntu, though.
What kind of packages are in the 9.3 repos that you cannot get for 10.0? Considering building RPMs doesn't seem to be TOO hard for SUSE (haven't tried it yet), for smaller apps it may just make more sense to build an rpm from source.
What useful stuff actually is in guru?

Interesting tweak. Makes sense for people like me on a mainstream cable provider. (http://www.shaw.ca/)

Very wierd. mirrors.kernel.org does have both packages in the repos. Have you tried looking at the version tab of the package under yast?

Don't CDs these days come with 700 MB? Besides, you can probably overburn a bit.
Speaking of burning CDs, K3B is fantastic. I have two rather funky cd burners, and k3b on Mandriva and Ubuntu always crashed on startup. SUSE is the first distro to detect and configure them properly.
