I have another stupid idea: Make it so the entire game could be set to run as an PHP include in another page, or as a frame in a frameset. This would require setting up a different class of template for each (It would make no sence printing the <html> tags twice) and amending the url of all internal game links.

What would be the reasoning or advantage behind the idea?

Probably QMT is the inspiration, smaller pages inside frames, with the menus external...

Fresh Water Fighters- Not really.

The Beatles- Not really. I'm just thinking of all the trouble I have had converting various web apps to be run as PHP includes for my JROTC website.

What I am thinking is the WHOLE GAME in a frame or include. The idea the game would part of a larger site, so the game would have fit inside the design of the site.

I'm thinking more along the line of server-side PHP includes.

Uh.... Why?

Frames are very ugly.

Oh, I see what you mean. That's one of Zina's features, and that's why we can use minibb and ewiki -- they embed well. These days when everyone and their mother has a PHP portal, you can't overestimate the usefulness of a "PHP-Nuke Module" or whatever.
