Ruddertail, Devari -- look over the race tables and fix imbalances ASAP. Classify races by strategy and make sure there's a race or two for each strategy. Make sure they're not imbalanced. When both of you are done, post here.

When that's done, Neo and Volkov, look over the race tables and check them for historical accuracy. If you're unsatisfied, pass it back to Rudder and Devari (and perhaps Zeph), and we continue in this feedback loop until the races are given the A-OK by the four of you.

Neo -- let me know when the troop names are finished, we need to put them in.

Everyone, please hurry, I mean to get at least a beta of the race info out for March 1. We can't change race stats mid-round, only at resets.

[edit] I might add, do not do a half-assed job of it, as you will likely be using these race stats for quite a long time...

It's balanced, but I really am not liking how the Egyptians and Macedonians are set up. Or the greeks. I realize that the Macedonian phalanx was better at attacking than defending but it was still good for defense. And the greek phalanx is the same thing, very hard to attack yes, but still easy to attack WITH. And where is all this defense coming from in the Egyptians? I would suggest a bit more balance in the attack/def power for all these races.

As to the troop names, I have a few disagreements, but I shall discuss it with Neo before I go public.

Bah. We'll give Neo a poke if he gets really mad about it. It's not just his project. Discussions over history will have to remain civil...

Right, I'll take a look at it, mark off races for specific strats, etc. Though from what I saw on my quick glance-over, it's fairly balanced.

What's the balance we want to achive between history and sensibilty? For example, if a race has a nonsensical (hawk race with good indy, for example) bonus that makes sense historically, do we change it, or leave it?

For the record, I didnt miff the races to begin with.

The Macedonians are my baby, and I fixed the Assyrians... everything else was done by other people.
