2) Barbarian (*laughs*) light unit... to borrow from our base... "Warriors"

3) I still dont understand what you dislike about the term "Immortal"

They werent immortal physically, but in the sense that the corps was never destroyed, but was always 10k strong.

Neo: well until Alexander whipped 'em. And I know the term, I read up on it since you posted it. But you can't expect every new player to look it up, and it sounds funny (ahistorical, I mean).

Beatles: Alexander never defeated the corps in line battle, its complicated what happened with that. Much too complicated for an amateur historian whose beeinto the scotch and has a time of 1.21am anyways...

OK...

2) "Warriors" may be sufficient for the "barbarian" gallic and germanic light unit.

That leaves only the Persian heavy.

Made some major changes, labled races for strats I think they're best suited for. I think it's good as far as game balance, but you might want to get Zeph to take a look at it. He's good for spotting stuff nobody else would think of...

History geeks may now freak out and the ahistorical-ness of it...

Looks good in a strange kind of way.

The fact that you people keep pumping the Assyrians over the Macedonians kind of pisses me off but I dont know much about the game, just the history side... and it looks like the Macedonians still ahve the advantage, so i'm ok.

Let volkov look at it if/when he returns and then zeph... otherwise I say its ready.

Lets go with chariots as the Persian heavy... they werent much used in teh Greek wars, nor were they used in the east, but against the African/Middle Eastern powers they were the standard.

1. Neo -- fixed Chariots, so the troop names should be fixed.

2. Can we just switch the names of the Assyrians and the Macedons? Here are their stats:

We're taking this in the sense that the Greek city states would have fought together against common enemies... which they often did...

And leave the Macedonians... I think their stats (excepting the offensive numer) is a true reflection of what they should have been able to kick out.

I'm back. I'll take a look inna bit, checking e-mail, re-establishing contacts. My mouth has hurt like a biznitch for the last 5 days, give me a break here. Tell you what, I'll leave you a message that says you have pending tasks next time you have a mouth full of stitches and have had 4 teeth removed at once. Two days ago the blood pumping it took to sit upright hurt my teeth. I can't even eat a banana without wincing. I've been subsisting on milkshakes, ice cream and mashed potatoes.
