Well, considering I'm for making killing harder, it seems I've accomplished my objective.

Heal spell basically saves 2 turns per 10 health healed over regular heal. When healing from 40 - 100, that's 12 turns per time. So it really adds up, actually.

Why not just make it so that people can resurect and lose lets say like half their army, they get taken to 0 land, then there could be an option to creat new account and delete or resurect... I've seen it done somewhere before and it worked well, they had over 100 players........

Why? Kills are a part of the game. But that doesn't mean they should be easy.

I'd rather implement the whole persistant account idea detailed somewhere on these boards anyway. ;)

Well no, they shouldn't be easy but you think about it in realistic terms, if there was a war going on between two countries and one of them had nearly lost everything, there wouldn't be a rule where the winning one can only use a certian type of attack...

Yes, that's true. On the other hand, if you crowd an entire country's army onto a small space, you can't simple attack them group by group.

You can't hit the air force without the army shooting at you from the ground, you can't hit the navy without the air force bombing you, and you can't hit the army without the navy shelling you, and the air force bombing you.

Besides, this isn't real life. :P

Good point, I was just suggesting other things we (well the coders :P) could do instead since forced standards seem to get annoying if someone killed you and you want to get revenge.......... only to find when you have them to 500 acres you can no longer bust them in...

Any non-standard attack can be generally considered as you engaging only a single part of an army. Once someone has been pushed down to a certain amount of land, it would be much more difficult to engage any given individual portion of an army, especially considering that the army discipline might not be stupendous.

A Standard Attack is just that - the Standard. The entire army of X engages the entire army of Y. Specialized attacks become more difficult as the opposing army becomes compressed.

Besides which, how realistic is it that one could have 100,000 Spearmen and no Chariots, but could be broken by someone with only 4000 Chariots?

Maybe ummm....increase health lost when attacking someone with less then X acres of land?
Or remove heal *laughs*.
