I posted this in a different place some months ago. I didn't want to have to post it here, but it has to be done, so:
I don't know why this silly argument started anyways, people's views are completely their own business. Now I don't want to hear another word about the matter, clear?
The first point is what's relevant here. No, Arthus, you have no obligation to respect anyone here. The only obligation you have is to obey requests made by a majority of the staff. Which you knew anyway.1. Staffers are only human and have no special privileges or prerogatives apart from those explicitly mentioned, i.e. they are not inviolate, and they have the right to act against members only upon violations of game or forum rules; and they should never be vindictive in such action (fortunately this has never happened).
2. Our rules cannot always be codified precisely, as they are fundamentally based on our own sense of right and wrong; while this may be criticized as arbitrary, in practice it is not as long as we are dispassionate (as we fortunately have been).
3. Nothing is fixed and the gameplay and community are dynamic: our game is thanks to feedback from our members and continues (must continue!) to evolve in harmony with them.

The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.
~Beatles..."I'm sorry, but I really can't see anything redeeming in your philosophy other than that dinosaurs are cute."
