hullo fello FAF'ers, i must say that it is a glorious day and i also must say that my days of playing promisance are drawing near its end.
but! alas, i have an observation to make and it involves ME to be exact.
now, i do not want to offend the ME players here and i do not wish for them to go away, but i do think i have some valid points to bring up that i could not do on thier own forum because it sucks, agian: no offense, but the truth is what it is eh?

anycase, i signed up an empire over an ME/WOA and decided to play and try it out. and it is intense. now, what i noticed right off the bat was that there is a brooding feel to the player base there. a few that i have contacted have been cool, but for the most part, the players there seem to poop all over themselves if you do a land grab on them. and the messages, wow, they are wonderful. anyways, i got this one:

Quel'Thalas, in an attempt to even off the land and spreading more land into the game decided to let people take some of his land. Only people between 250-30000 acres of land can take. He has dropped almost all his troops. There are still some left. Frontal assualts might be best on him. He doesn't want to be taken lower than 75k land so do not abuse his kindness. everyone can take no more than 20-30k, does who take more will be attacked back for the land for being greedy. This is free land people so do not be shy. Take the aformentioned amount of land.
If he is taken under 75k land he will start attacking back for land, if not he will just mage up more land. Thank you.

Overseer

now, i went and took some land, thinking to myself: what idiots play here!?!?
now, after i took some, i got hit and hit hard. by ALOT of players. 50+ times was i attacked and i am not in a clan. *laughs*. now, this Overseer is an Admin. hint hint and im not trying to say nothing.......reallly....... and lets not forget that <span style='color:purple'>Overseer (#133) 136,637 $84,737,964 None Ent Dark Ages 0 </span> has all this land......and land did accumulate quickly in the game, but it went a certian way..........hmmmmmm...and where is that land now? *laughs*, you guessed it! not spread around. tis a funny thing indeed and unnecesary. did i tkae more than the 20-30K joke of an limit, damn skippy, but why? *laughs*, because no one else save a few would take him up on his offer! *laughs*! ! ! ! !
but this is a problem and agian, i am not trying to offend. just an observation, thats all....
now, there is another laughable issue:
i have been attacked 602 times. i have attacked 332 times. now dig it. NO ONE ELSE HAS BEEN ATTACKED EVEN A 1/3 of the amount! yegods! hilarous! and the set has just begun a week or so ago! LOLOLOL

but........im not trying to say anything............................

so, my advice to ME admin and such: clean it up. offer Hit Limits and make sure that even though power is had, it isnt abused: even if its just a peek of an empire or a few acres worth of abuse, its still a sad thing to witness.
you have lost my buisness and im sure that doesnt matter, but do clean it up if for the sake of driving away any new players who would get tired of the crap real quick and for old veterans like me, who happen to enjoy sportsmanship and competetion. both of which, ME doesnt offer.

sorry to offened, but i had to get it off my chest.

what the hell are you on about? the admin account cannot attack or anything. You don't seem to be making much sense at all. Please try and make sense before you babble on for so long. If you have a point to make, please make it without all the *laughs* and hints.

I appreciate your opinion of our site Kraken even if it is not so good and may only state half truths. The only thing I see this doing is developing bad blood between the sites so I will just let it go.

meh, true enough Turok. it was just an observation at best.
i mean, 47 attacks to an unclanned empire and! no one who attacked had declared personal war is a bit excessive, wouldnt you agree? also, the amount of players v/s players with land is extremely unbalanced. and those who start will have no chance of recovery. that is all that i am saying.

and dont worry, i do not speak for anyone else here at faf....i am my own sea monster.

How is it the peoples with lands fault that the others don't know what they are doing and have no land. I have tried repeatedly to help people with little success cause they don't seem to want help. It is there own fault they don't attack for land or mage their own, you cannot blame people who mage their own land that they have it all. Maging land gets you alot more than attacking so obviously does who mage will have more land.

I'm not sure how you got hit 47 times before going green. Max attacks were set at 30 when we started this set and they have not changed. Last age they were 55 and that was just chaos.

The land, yea..., the quel letter was an offer to all other empires to get some free land, yet none would do it. The land quel had was all from maging and not given to him. When you sit at the top and none challenge you, what do you have to do but mage land and loot?

I would say that about 70% of the player base runs very poor strats. I mean really bad! AND they are all afraid to attack anyone because they think an attack means a war in every case. The other 30% mostly play by the 5 - 7 rule, although as you can see, some don't. There are some that have no intent on playing the game the way most of us do and simply stalk others in order to do kills. There are other things that have happened this set and I'm sure you have spotted them, I won't go into detail, but the tactics were low and underhanded.

Things will get back under control the next set.

I agree with you; in fact you can note from my mod logs how few topics I've locked, but this is really something else, and I did say I wouldn't object if they did reopen it -- a meaningless qualifying gesture to myself.

BTW, we admin types were setting a cracking example here, posting in a locked topic.
