Possible school shooting averted

Delhi is a little dump of a town with a HUGE meth problem located not too far from my house. The school is relatively new, and it's significant to me because I worked there. There's an elementary school a half a block away that went up at the same time as the high school and I spent virtually all of 2003 working on the 2 schools. Shortly before I got there (like a week if I remember right) someone got shot in the butt on school grounds, and while I was working there we had our golf cart stolen twice. The first time they drove it into a canal, after it was retrieved and rebuilt they stole it again and tried to jump a trench that had been saw cut into the cement.

They were probably students of that particular school since they didn't realize that gravity was a real thing and they didn't quite make the jump. Bent the hell out of the wheels, broke the stabilizers, broke the axel, just made a mess of it. Anyway it's weird seeing them in the news like that.
