You make a long post to dodge the very simple issue Volkov brought up: you started the recent animosity. It's also your folks who can't get over it.

By the way, I didn't make "poems" (that's what emo kids do, I believe) but rather wrote parodies of good classic rock songs to fit them to a situation -- something I'd been doing long before any animosity came up.

To answer your question about yellow: it never becomes a nuisance. Ruddertail did exactly what you are desribing except more civilly. He wanted to get us to switch away from the Redwall theme. Eventually, he ran a series of polls, and we implemented what the majority preferred. Hence today we run an ancient theme and not a Redwall theme.

As I said if you want to make a topic here about codes and felons, feel free. If you want to post about it in RWL, there are already tons of topics to post in without starting a new one. Your new sub issues is whether I started animosity, or was making a point. Again that is off topic.

This is easy guys. Is it wrong to continually make disruptive posts after a situation has been dead for years?

Don’t keep tossing out of content sub issues at me and expect me to respond. That is merely a way to avoid my points. Why not respond to the post I made before this one?

We have done so for years, I even just opened new topic to keep again answering your same questions. Over and over ….

Talking about this topic. Seems it has done no good what so ever to ask people to stop breaking the rules of our forum. Seems right after I posted that Beatles was breaking the rules he did so again.

So what does this say to the world. Beatles has the right to enforce the rules in his house, but also he has the right to completely ignore other people’s rights?

This topic is asking someone to STOP SPAMMING on our site. But still they do.

All I did at your forum is point out that:
1. White Fang and Scarface (the latter a staffer at your place) started spamming (by your definition).
2. You started flaming (by a general definition).

Is your policy that admins may flame? It certainly seems so.

You have not answered some simple questions. Many people in this thread have asked you repeatedly why you are ignoring them. So Volkov and I would like to know, very simply:
Why did you start flaming Beatles? Why did you bring up all the bad feeling again?

We're not angry, just curious.

The simple fact is this: we would not be "spamming" your site if you had not started it. You brought it up, others from RWL continued it, FAF people responded, and now you are asking us to stop something you started. So my question was and is completely on topic.

Because they are not being dealt with were they were started. We have again been attacked! Yes attacked. For years we have asked them to stop making demands that they have no right to make. They come in hoards and have several accounts. We have had to ban people over the years and they get around them. So this is the second time I have had to come over to this site to ask them to stop doing something on our site because they refuse to respect our rules. I come and try to talk like an adult and point out that they would not appreciate this same action. People should have like respect for people doing the same job.

My request is easy. Can the staff of FAF stop SAPMMING our server? Yet they are still doing it after all these posts informing them they are violating the rules.

I've been lurking this thread since its creation, but now I have something to say.

At risk of sounding... combative, can we expect to see BAXX re-open the source (as is required) any time soon? I'm pretty darn sure that Retto made SOME changes since April 7th, 2004. Besides the whole GPL issue, the more open the source, the more potential for outside help...

Devari is actually the one who brought up the code first. Scarwake came back with an explanation, and then bjorn and Devari proceeded to argue the point.

So no, wolf bite most certainly did not start it.

They asked questions about what TJ had said, which is different from arguing, they were a bit over aggressive, but the tone of the thread was not hot until wolf started talking about how Beatles exploited the bug in/hacked RWL

Both sides basically ignored me. wolf bite said he agreed with me, but then went on arguing the same point he had been. I was attempting to get the situation back to a simmer at least, but it has unfortunately boiled over.

Reguardless of the legal requirements of relaseing the code, distribuateing the current source is a good idea for a number of reasons. One, downstream users running the BAXX codebase on thier may be effected by bugs that have alreay been corrected in the current verison. Two, distibuateing the soucre code allows people to review it and aid in development. As Devari it could bring in some outside help. Three, it is the right thing to do. Many others contibuated to this before Boze and Retto ever go thier hands on it.. Is it really morrally right to take thier work without paying back into the community?

Also, Beatles had already made an outright flame against Shael, as well as a couple of intentionally sarcastic that were quite close to insults. Between the two, the thread had definately already heated up.

Now, I'll agree that wolf bite was probably too hot with the way he presented it, but between Beatles' attitude and the revival of such an old argument, he was more than a little on the provoked side.

No, it's a well made point in a discussion. The only real objectional thing is the question at the end.

As to Beatles flame of her, do you have the original text for that? Because other than what scarwake said, which is entirely a judgement call on his part, I have know way of knowing what he said. He then made one post that could be viewed as sarcastic, or just a fact. He has said previously that there are at least 60 code problems.

Wolf then got hot and proceeding to revive an old argument himself, and only addressed the concerns about the source code later. And I'm not going to go into the stuff about the source code, because I don't know enough about it. So I maintain that wolf did start the hot portion of the debate.
