A Renewal of Interest in FAF

You can talk about anything here, not necessarily game-related. You may also advertise here.

Some tasks for me for the following week, hopefully some today:
* Write up a short message Freen can send out to all forumgoers and WOA/BFR-players
* Write up a short message Turock can do the same with (he kindly volunteered to do so)
* Upgrade FAF to the current ME codebase
* [s]Fix the forum bugs[/s]

Some things for you chaps to do in the coming week:
* Advertise FAF on at least 3 gaming websites (you can search for blurbs, or someone might reply with an old one here)

*Nod* Sounds like a plan! I'll look into further advertising as well.

I'm glad to see a renewed interest in the FAF project. Does this mean continued development as time permits?

What do you guys think about me joining the team of developers? I could not think of a better way to show appreciation of the FAF codebase.

Turok - I can't speak for Beatles or Devari, but I see no reason why you wouldn't be welcomed with open arms (well, ok, maybe that would be a little too friendly... :P ) Still, It'd be great to have you.

I can't speak for Beatles - he has the final word.

But, to be honest, I was thinking of talking to Beatles about inviting you on to the team. You've got my support! :D

The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

Heh, everyone is saying "does Beatles approve" when 1. we are pretty much a democracy and 2. I said on the chat a few pages back before even Rudder that I'd be glad to have turock on.
Turock, that's very kind of you indeed. We're grateful to accept, of course. Don't stress yourself though, 'cos you do plenty of much-appreciated work as it is.
