Well, I like Bush, but I am not going to do a lengthy post because I do not want to get into an arguement.

Slazzy, you are prejudiced, but, I think Ill just let you steep in your ideas, coz your to prejudiced to talk to.

Keep it to a minimum, dude. In debating, try to present ideas, and rebuff your opponent's arguments. Personal attacks accomplish nothing, and make you look the fool.

Let me get this straight, I am prejudiced becuase I wrote a long post explaining why I dont like Bush and I backed up all my points.

Yet, you are not prejudiced after you called me a "frickin idiot" before I had even given my reasons for disliking bush, that seems to strangely resemble the definition of prejudice given below:

"prejÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â·uÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â·dice: An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts."

Good post, Slazzar, although the "Who is prejudiced now?" did make it a bit of an attack.

Are you on a debating team? You've done a very good job backing up your points n' stuff.

On an off note, I just realized that this topic is ambigously entitled "Politics", and yet all it has on here is American politics. Seeing as how Canada just had an election yesterday, I am changing the topic title to "American Politics". Unless you want me to ramble on to myself about how the Green party should have gotten some seats.

Unfortunately, my school is only 2-3 years old and most of the teachers are new or were moved to the new school because they are bad teahcers, so we have nothing in the way of extra-curricular activities. on another note, what did happen in the Canadien elections, did martin hold the majority?

Too bad, Slazzar. You could do well on a debate team.

Martin didn't hold the majority, but he held 135 seats - 20 short of the 155 needed for majority. Thankfully, Harper's Neo-Conservatives failed to get to even 100 (they got 99).

The NDP only took 19 seats, Bloc 54, and a single independent.

It'll be an interesting government. Martin is going to have to be a bit more leftist (he'll need to rely on the left-leaning NDP and Bloc to get stuff through), so Canada's future looks good from the point of the lefties (like me).

I just noticed this thread due to it being Wyvern's birthday -- I didn't remember her name so I looked up her posts and found this.

I wonder how peoples' opinion have changed in the last 4 years? At any rate, of those that are here.

I still say Bush was the lesser of two weavils (even though I apparently missed this topic)
Kerry has demonstrated his idiocy quite a bit, even recently
with all the bad press bush had before he was reelected it should have been an easy win for the democratic party. They chose Kerry, apparently the best dem. for the job. They lost because he was a complete wishy-washy moron. The only reasons he got as many votes as he did was because people just wanted bush out, I saw evidence of this as I skimmed the topic.
