Not much. All the Commonwealth republics transitioned from centuries of that use. These wide-ranging changes seem to happen every day.

Consider: they have to change many things that are not simply "HM" from "Her Majesty" to "His Majesty" every time a monarch with a new gender ascends to the throne.

But, you have to look at where the Commonwealth Republics are. With, maybe, the exception of India, they had a completely different colonial and post-colonial experience than Canada. For one, we've spent more time as an independent nation under the Queen/King than the rest of the Commonwealth. Furthermore, we're a "British" country, with the ingrained traditions of the British system. If you notice the only other white-dominated Commonwealth nation, Australia, you will notice that they, too, are a constitutional monarchy. So, I don't think the answer is quite so clear-cut...

Although, you probably are right.

Our worst chap up North would have to be Brian Mulroney. Sold this country to the US in the form of NAFTA and other such cruft. 'Course, it helps his buddies, just screws the rest of us.

Yes most of the people on this board are anti-Bush, but that's perfectly understandable as the vast majority of the world's population is anti-Bush.

Such as collapsing the US economy. And I don't know why everyone is so anti-Bush. You all voted for him in the first place. If its all about Iraq, yeah, it was a bad move so to speak. But golly, will everyone think its bad if we go to war with Iran?
