1. It's not really used; if many staffers think highly of you it's above 0, and under it in the reverse case. Doesn't affect anything and isn't used much.
2. It only shows up on your first post on each page. Saves the eye-gouging repeatedness of most sigs. I have them turned off completely, myself.

Ahh Death and Memnoch. Between the 2 I think they're responsible for 3/4 of the name changes/sock puppets in Valhall's 5 year history. 
I am willing to bet $20 that these 2 can't go 50 posts without a single name change. :*laughs*:
