It seems we're being blocked by the "Golden Shield Project"'s firewall, a.k.a. the Great Firewall of China. So who's been a subversive counterrevolutionary? :P

Seriously, we haven't had fantasy elements, yet it's virtually certainly an impersonal decision. One thing, a lot our discussions would feature liberal keywords. I ran this test last week and this week, so it's probably not a technical issue.

every URL i typed was blocked. so i googled China...
www.china.org.cn this site is noted as being an "Authorized portal site established by the Chinese government." and it too.....was blocked... :P

so! why all the web purism? what is the Chinese government so damn afraid of when it comes to freedom of speech? or information? surely communism is such a great system that it could weather such things!

The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

I think the site is bad, cause I tried every URL I could think of, even ones that they would have no reason to block, like the Beijing News, and it said they were all blocked.

Most probably the site not working then. A bit of an anticlimax, but there you are. They probably just blocked that computer's net access for revealing secrets of the firewall. :D
