The best way to play this is to store all of your troops, pull whatever you need off the market when you run, and put them right back on the market when you're done, considering being hit down to 10k is the worst that can happen if you follow that strategy and then you lose virtually nothing, it doesn't even matter if you have spies at all if all of your troops are out of harms way on the market. Get real. There is no war unless you both are in clans, where actual damage can be done.
10k? I usually start my runs under 6 and I'm not even in a war...

Only way to do real damage would be to implemet market theft

Meh. It doesn't really matter how low you go with land, given that land is just as productive if you'd had it 3 minutes or 3 weeks. Even going down to 500 doesn't really damage a person that much. Maybe some, but... not that much.

Depends - if you are trying to break someone with a lot of defense, more land helps a lot in that you can produce troops to slow down the losses.

I'm just saying that if you are gonna declare war, be man enough to fight it yourself, not like it's even much of a war, but still.

War isn't 1 on 1. War is sides. You angered me, and I'm doing something about it. Get your side going. If you wanna go solo, thats fine. I don't know what you think "help" is, but you're sorely mistaken if you think other people are gonna fight for me.

I mean my last run I gathered 35k land. I was attacked the max, 31 times and was left with 13k land. I'm just saying that if you're storing Freen and you have help, it isn't going to be much of a war if Arty doesn't even really have anything on the market like he says.

I would say that land isn't really much of a factor, as almost everybody has holes, so if you somehow can't get it from the person who has the most, you can get it from many of the other players.

One of the only ways I see real damage being done is if either of you start standard attacking, or destroying whatever troop type the other is concentrating on. It's just hard for me to see this as a war if there isn't a possibility of one of the empires being killed.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

Get rid of market storing and/or introduce market theft and you can have some pretty intense wars without clanning.

I just meant situationally. It a good thing someone did before him. Otherwise our losses would have been more severe.

I don't get how that works, the 20 mil losses to 2mil... Even with guards that seems extreme.

It is percentage based. The more you have, the more you lose. That's why I stay away from T1.

Health also factors in, and if you are attacking a lot without healing your losses go up while your opponent's go down.

Shadow, that really won't help you. Losing 100mil T1 is just as bas as losing like 25mil T4. Or something, depending on the scaling here. Either way T1 si a (Profanity is a sign of Maturity)ty unit in every game because of the food upkeep, although here that seems to be a non-issue.

Yeah, which is why I usually attack with 70+% health. Whatever, i'll just mass something midly less useless.
