the banker is a thief,


you sold an assload of grains 5.5 hours ago, but the cash was taken from your saving account before you logged in or could take a single turn.
tis to late to do any thing about it, because if you remove your products from the market we will take them from you too!

if the game is designed to place the cash in a safe place EG (SAVING ACCOUNT) to keep it from mages, then why does the bank take it before you log in?

I sold tons of products but was ripped off for the cash, and NO I DIDNT TURN BEFORE I LOOKED AT MY HISTORY, AND YES; I WENT DIRECTLY TO THE BANK TO REMOVE IT FOR MY RUN.

You can't have more money than the bank can hold. So the excess cash leaks into your empire at around 10% per hour? Or something.

Its to prevent bank stuffing.

I don't think it should be based on time, I've said before, it should be based on turns ran... Because what if I can't login for say, 4 days for whatever reason?

Cash isn't supposed to be inaccessible; resource stealing is a valid part of the game, while bank stuffing is not. Simply put, only a small part of your cash is supposed to be "safe" at any one time - this is an intentional design decision.

Cash leaks out on a timed basis to prevent players sitting on piles of "safe" money for too long. Consider the turn rate in WOA - you could easily hold off on your run for a few days without losing out on too many turns, and in the meantime have effectively 10x your bank capacity in "safe" money.

I guess the basic thing is that money over the limit isn't supposed to be "safe" in the first place; it's merely a measure to prevent an old dirty trick, namely:

1) Open up the Scores page in one tab.
2) Open up the PM in another page.
3) Buy troops.
4) Refresh scores page - watch for NW jumps.
5) Steal back all your old cash.
6) ???
7) Profit!

That's really the main reason this feature came to be - to prevent immediate PM-scumming - not to provide a safe haven for cash. We have it time-based because we WANT it to leak out within a day or so; it's intentional, as it's not supposed to be "safe" for more than an hour or so.

Just for fun, this is the relevant line from the Ruddertail-Devari "Post-Marketism" proposal:

3. When the bank is filled over the limit, the cash will slowly move back into the main account, at a rate of around 10% of the excess per hour. This keeps with the reduction in power of resource storing, while keeping the original intent of market sale money going to the bank; to prevent a buy/sack cycle that could be used to take back all the original cash, and also to protect the anonymity of the market (jumping NW due to cash infusion gives away who the seller was).

That's just to emphasise that our purpose is NOT to make that cash "safe", but simply to prevent short-term scumming tactics.

You seem to have a bizarre tendency to be affected by bugs that have no potential basis in the code. I wonder if the game just hates you.

Easy.

1. Your so low, your bank cap is under a bil most likely.
2.Since its 10% of the total amount, not 10% of the overflow, you were leaking around 480mil per every increment. Whatever it is. So if its per hour, then 5 hrs later, you have leaked (I'm NOT doing the integration to figure it out) around 2-3bil into your account.
3. Which then got sacked.

that wouldnt be the first time some one said that, I was once called the bug magnet.

if there was abug I usualy found it, it made me a good code tester. *laughs*

but I was never sacked for cash after the sales
admin can check my account if need be but it wasnt stollen, it just disapeared

@ 480mil it adds up to be less then half

Keep detailed records (with screenshots?) to see if it reemerges. I haven't heard of anyone else being affected by this or any sort of reproduction method, so I'm going to need a more detailed bug report.
