The only adv. that firefox has is the multiple window tabs you can have. IE loads a lot faster than FF does in my opinion.

years of bug reports have shown that.. mozilla fixes its bugs, IE bugs may never be fixxed
plus the fact that IE7 copied firefox, that proves which is the better browser
Because some of us care about our user experience.
But, seriously, I use the browser that give me the fastest experience and has the features I need - Konqueror on Linux, Firefox on Windows. I don't have CPU cycles or memory to spare. Even if I did, I like to have a well written browser that is fast and has no memory leaks.

Well, in my subjective experience, IE is faster, but generally also crashes more and is more open by default. If you use Windows, you have two alternatives:
1. Download Firefox
2. Lock down IE in all its insecured default settings, and trust yourself to do a good job of it
I know which is easier for me... Maybe when IE7 comes out, 2. will again become a viable alternative.

See, that's why you should use Konqueror.
Do you have some important extensions that you can't do without?
Slasher - when I first started using Linux (Mandrake 10.1) as my primary operating system, the default browser was the Mozilla Suite. That hunk of junk was so very slow. So, the first thing I did was get Firefox installed. Moral of the Story - the default browser is not the best by default.
