Well, others get mages at the same rate. It would definitely help magers more, but other strats may want to have some mages for defence. Iunno, I did say that increasing it would benefit an already powerful strat.

Exactly - maging is already the most powerful strat, so why give it more of an edge?

Because we can re-nerf maging. And as you can see on BFR, it obviously isn't the most powerful strat anymore.

It still is. The only reason a non-mage is on top is because of teamwork. Solo, a mage outshines everyone else. They *could* break the guy using mages if they worked together, but nobody is doing it. This game is pretty apathetic, I find. They tend to leave it until someone is very obviously taking over before they move to stop, and by then it's too late. And once a takeover is achieved, everyone just starts playing for second place. Or third, in this case.

I could break fake-freen with mages or troops and take the land and probably hold it if I did it right and built guards. Thing is one on one, mage will win.

I'm not so sure. Agra indy really holds alot of water when you're up with good land. 50k+ and you're set really. Plus, even if you took his land, he'd have one hell of a ratio at that point, so he'd get it back. Even with guards, he could sell most of his, and mono-stack on you.

His losses though with guards would be substantial, then the mage can easily get the land right back with mage battles. In the end, my money would still be on the mage, if done properly.

Gotta agree... the indier coulddnt possibly hold the land against a mage if they started in the positions that fakefreen and arthus are in now.
