So I log on today to find myself the seeming only target in a combined run of the 3 resistance players. I was just wondering if that was a kill attempt or part of some strategy?

No way they could have killed you. They had no way to std attack you for the last 500 acres. They just managed to break you so they took as much land as they could from it.
